Turkmenistan's Deputy Prime Minister for Trade, Batyr Atdayev, has been removed from his position. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdymukhamedov announced this during a government meeting, as reported by TDH.
The President emphasized that Atdayev had made a series of mistakes in managing the country's trade complex, and stated that he was relieving him of his duties as Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers for failing to fulfill his responsibilities.
The dismissal came after Atdayev's report on preparations for the second Turkmen-Uzbek interregional forum and national exhibition of Uzbek goods, scheduled for November 20-21 of this year in Turkmenabat. After listening to the Deputy Prime Minister, Berdymukhamedov called the Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations, Batyr Geldiyev, via video link and informed him of Atdayev's dismissal «for serious shortcomings in his work."
Chary Gylyjov, who previously held the position of Minister of Textile Industry, has been appointed to replace the dismissed Deputy Prime Minister. Batyr Bazarov, who previously served as Deputy Minister, has been named the new Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations.
ℹ️ Atdayev was appointed to the post of Deputy Prime Minister for Trade in June 2022. He had previously held this position from 2016 to 2017. He then served as the Prosecutor General of Turkmenistan.
👉 It should be noted that Atdayev replaced Gylyjov as Deputy Prime Minister, whom Berdymukhamedov had dismissed «for shortcomings in his work."
