Authorities Plan to Employ Over 200,000 Uzbeks in Developed Countries

In 2025, there are plans to employ more than 200,000 citizens of Uzbekistan in economically developed countries. This was announced by the Prime Minister of the Republic, Abdulla Aripov, at a meeting of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis (parliament), reports Gazeta.uz.

The plan to employ Uzbeks abroad is part of the Cabinet of Ministers' action program for the short and long term, developed based on the «Uzbekistan-2030» strategy. Among other measures is the continuation of work on the systematic organization of labor migration.

As Aripov noted in his report, the president has tasked the government with providing social support to labor migrants and ensuring their employment in countries with high wage levels.

«In 2025 alone, measures are planned to employ more than 200,000 citizens in 21 economically developed countries, such as Germany, the United Kingdom, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Israel, Canada, Poland, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and others,» the Prime Minister stated.

It is specified that the country will create all conditions for training citizens wishing to work abroad in professional skills and foreign languages.
