The territory of the Center for Islamic Civilization in Tashkent has been equipped with a state-of-the-art navigation system, the Center’s press service reported.
At the latest meeting of the Center’s expanded Scientific Council, Sergey Karasev, head of the design team at TOP CONGRESS, presented a detailed report on the internal and external navigation systems installed throughout the complex, as well as on the design of 14 upcoming exhibitions that will occupy the second floor. According to him, the system has been fully implemented in the “Wall of Time” project, part of the museum’s section dedicated to the First Renaissance.
“Design projects have been completed for both the interior and exterior navigation systems of the Center, as well as for the second-floor exhibitions. The new systems will ensure an orderly flow of visitors, easy wayfinding for each section, and intuitive guidance throughout the space,” said Karasev.
The Center for Islamic Civilization is located in Tashkent, next to the Khast-Imam complex. Designed in the style of medieval architectural monuments, the building features four portals, each 34 meters high, and a central dome rising 65 meters. It includes a Hall of the Quran, a 460-seat conference hall, and a museum whose exhibitions trace the entire history of Uzbekistan — from pre-Islamic times to the present. The Center aims to serve as a platform for studying and reinterpreting the heritage of past generations, in collaboration with the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan and educational and research institutions around the world.
